I looked up the headlight replacement proceedure in the manual.

Step 1. Disassemble Vehicle.

That's as far as I got before I gave up on that dumb idea.

I bought a 8000K HID Kit for my 07 black LTZ. It makes a world of a difference at night and looks a hell of alot better. It probably took around an hour and a half to put them in. They really made it difficult to change them on the 07's. You have to loosen up the front bumper all the way around to pry the headlights out. I think it was well worth the trouble

I'm with Jeff0825,
I put some 6000k HID's in my Tahoe and I can't be any happier.
They did make it really hard to access the bulbs but I was able to do it with removing a couple clips and just manuevering my hands through the rubber barriers, then just zip tied the ballasts out of sight (don't want to drill holes).
From now on all my cars get HID's.
My .02 though.

Silver,
The bulb size is H11, that kit is not the one I have but there are alot of manufacturers that create HID kits and mine was a fraction of that cost.
Thanks, Jay

Silver,
I purchased mine through a friend and the company is called Co-Way, I have bought 3 sets of HID kits from them (1 for my 07 Tahoe, 1 for my Sandrail and 1 for my Father-in-laws Lexus) and I haven't had an issue with any of the sets.
Sure people will say "you get what you pay for", this may be true, but I haven't had any issues with them and for me, right now I can't afford a set of name brand HID kits and they are the same, if not better quality than the name brands.
The HID kits from Co-way are about $200 per kit, not sure if they have any info on the web though.
Thanks, Jay
