Adding a Compass and Digital Speedometer to the gauge cluster of a 2007 Tahoe
Hello, Has anyone attempted a job like this? I have seen that on 2010 Tahoes and Suburbans and up there are options for a digital speedometer and compass with thermostat on the Gauge Cluster, I am attempting to add a backup camera to my 2007 Tahoe and I decided to add a Gentex reverse camera mirror that has been used in the Traverse and 2010 later model Tahoes/Suburbans. Because of this, it gets rid of my compass and temperature gauge, but as I have seen on newer models that they are embedded into the gauge cluster, can I upgrade mine to do the same? I am also worried that doing so via adding a new cluster would change the 4-speed shift selector to a 6-speed shift selector that has an "M" gear instead of the classic "3 2 1" gear selection. has anyone attempted to do so before? Any guidance available is much needed. Thanks!
