Question Advanced Remote Start 2 Way Key Fob?

I recently purchased a 2009 Suburban LTZ and it came with 1 key and one standard keyfob. I opened the glovebox and found a user manual for an "Advanced 2 way Remote Start" where it shows a key fob with a LCD on it. I also noticed an antenna stuck inside the rear driver's side cargo area window.

Does anyone know where I could purchase a replacement key fob? I can't find anyplace online that even discusses it, much less a part #.

Sounds like it has the Extended Range remote installed. At least that's what the antenna is for.

riggz - Ironically I have the same issue with a 2009 Sierra that I just purchased. The antenna on the 2 way key fob was broken, I replaced the battery and it functions, but I wanted to replace the key fob and reprogram.

Can't find any information on line about reprogramming the replacement. Let me know if you have any update.

Thanks

Nothing so far. Just a member who offered to sell me some used ones. A bit more than I wanted to spend though....

I have seen replacement key fobs on eBay before. However I don't believe the extended range remote is available except through a Chevrolet dealer. That will require programming by the dealer.

Yeah, can't find a part number to order one in any of the online parts catalogs. Guess I will have to ask the parts guy at the next trip to the dealership.

was the P/N back in Dec 2009. Even if it's changed, parts will be able to give you the latest. At this price, it must be just the fob and not the wiring and antenna. But check w/ your parts guy.
