Default AFM Updates?

Hi,

I am in the process of purchasing a 2007 Suburban 2WD (my first Suburban ever) with the 5300 that has the Flex Fuel option and (I am assuming) AFM, I am not sure which 5300 engine is in it but I read somewhere if the 8th digit in the VIN code is '0' (which mine is) then it is the Iron Block model and I do know the the specs say 320HP and 340 Torque.

The vehicle is a one owner that has been in California since new and is in great shape with 17K miles and seems to have every option but Navigation.

Before I delivery of this vehicle, I had heard there have been several software updates put out for the AFM to make it smoother and would like the dealer to do this before I sign on the dotted line.

Could anyone list what I should ask him to do?

Lance

someone else should know for sure - but I think all you need to do is tell them you want all the updates and they can confirm if everything has been done or not. when we got our 07' Tahoe last year I went into our local dealer and had them confirm everything was updated (mainly the battery issue) and they said it was all done at the original dealer so I was good.
