I currently have the FlowMaster 70 series installed on my 04 z71 tahoe with dual tips out the back and Im looking to have it converted back to stock. Local GM mechanic quoted me $750 to do it. I realize it may be hard to comment without looking at the truck, but just seemed ridiculously high. Thoughts?

Go to an independent shop and get an estimate. The dealer will only use factory parts. Independent shops may use aftermarket factory equivalent parts.

x2, WHY? I'm not here to critisize but to learn. In fact, I've been thinking about doing a conversion from stock to dual tip side exit cat-back on my '06 Suburban that I use for towing, so please... Why switch back? Maybe if you post a wanted, you can get the OEM parts from someone doing the same conversion who would otherwise toss the parts you need.
