Default Air Ride Problem 08 LTZ

Just replaced with a new compressor but the car won't level out when loaded so I can't tow anything with it. Once the car is loaded it will just dump excess air out of the compressor like the exhaust valve is stuck open. Does anyone know what might be the problem would it be the exhaust valve? It's not the shocks leaking into the compressor the shocks were replaced just 6 months ago.

Is it true you can take out compressor and ride without autoride as i'm sending the compressor back too check if it's a faulty compressor.

I have an 05 LT w/ autoride the exhaust valve stuck closed about a month after I bought the suv. I took the pump off bench tested pump runs but no go on valve. Put the pump back on n been driving like this for about a year just towed a car trailer from Tulsa ok to bismarck Nd and back with a 47 pickup on it on the return trip with no problems. It has been acting like standard shocks. Load was about 6000lbs.
