Gents,

Has anyone fitted a cool air intake on a 07 Tahoe yet? Does it give you any extra mpg? I read someone was trying to get the engine to stay in V4 mode longer. I was wondering if any of this stuff helps? I installed a K+N on my 03 4 Runner a few years ago and I saw no help in gas mileage.

 

i put a K&N FIPK and Flowmster on my '04. I saw an apparent increase in gas mileage. This was judged by both math and by the gas gauge. I was making a round trip to Jacksonville Fl, and it took a full tank. After the mods, i still had about 1/8 tank every time I got home. 1/8 tank versus fumes... yea. there was an improvement. The numeric average hovered around 2-4mpg increase.

remember that the engine is an airpump. you have to help in and out to get improvements.

I recently added an airraid system on my 07 LTZ just last night. I will have pics of it soon. No before but an after. I have noticed a better acceleration off the line and thru the gears. I can stomp on the gas and quicker response, you can also hear it sucking in the air. Only if you pay attention that is without the radio blasting. Waiting to add either magnaflow or gibson exhaust possibly headers.
