Default Airbag light preventing inspection, need a little help

Hi fellow Chevsters, I'm having a hard time with the airbag system of my recently acquired 07 Tahoe. The airbag light is on and the only thing that shows in the overhead indicator is a depiction of a person with a seatbelt and an airbag crossed with an X and the characters x2 over of the icon. This does not change with the addition of a passenger. The circuit board of that indicator shows no damage. The sdm module does not communicate with my autel scanner, but the abs module does. I removed the front seats to verify the ground connections and they were ok. The connector for the sdm only has ignition power at pin 2, second at the top left looking at the connector. It is a pink wire, but a diagram I downloaded shows a yellow wire as the power cable for both the sdm and the ppm. The pink wire has juice when the ignition is on. On the connector for the right passenger seat there is a red wire that has power irrespective of ignition position. The functions of the BCM seem intact, windows, power gate, wipers, door locks, even the folding mirrors work, with the exception of the proximity sensors that are showing a red light all the time, irrespective of proximity or its absence. I need your help to turn off the airbag light in order to pass inspection and register the truck.
