Default All Mechanical Suburban??

Hey guys.
I have a 1994 Suburban K1500, 5.7 EFI. I was thinking about making it pure mechanical, for such applications as river running, etc. I do know for that particular application, I'd need the snorkle kits. But even with that aside, I've never liked the fact that a fragile piece of tech is all that lets my truck run. So my question is, what all would i need to do to get it running on pure machine? Anything y'all can tell me is appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

You'll need a points distributor and carburetor. But is the tranny computer controlled? You may run into a lot of problems then.

It'd probably be cheaper to sell it and get an older vehicle. A '94 is still heavily computer-controlled.
