Anti-Theft devices

Anti-Theft devices
The dealer tried to sell me a Lo-jack and also a system called "stealth" for my Tahoe. It was some type of immobilizer. Looked like the normal starter relay was replaced by the stealth one, then you used a FOB to arm disarm. Or it may have been the fuse was replaced. I'm interested in some type of immobilizer does anyone have a suggestion?

If you have On-Star then Lo-Jack is pointless. Also your key (I am assuming your are talking about an 2007) has a chip in it that without it you cannot start your car.

My 2002 Avalanche had both of those things and it got taken. The On-star is easy to disable and they broke the ignition assembly on the steering wheel and started it somehow.

Sorry to hear about your avalanche.
I never said it was full proof, but rather a duplication for the most part.
You could always wire your own hidden disable switch.
