Default Any solutions to hids in fog lights on a 07

i was just wondering if any of yall has found a solution to the problem with hids in the 07 tahoe fog lights.[sm=headbang.gif]

They get too hot and will MELT the light housing

i read on a different post that they change the bulb to 9005 and install 35watt hids and still no problems with the housing melting. i was yust wondering if anyone has found glass replacement lences

What you need to do is look on ebay for foglights that have the glass housings. They have some that are the same diameter of the factory fogs. WHat I did was cut the factory back off the factory fog and gutted the middle and attatched it to the new fog assemply. I did this so the new foglight would be held in the same way as if it was the factory fog. Thew new fog holds an h3 bulb and it looks great havent had a problem since. I did this because like you, my factory fog lamp melted, hope this helped.

or just go to www.shopcustomcreations.com and buy there plug and play 5202 hid kit that is a direct plug and play to your factory fog lights

Do we know it will not melt the housing or lens?
