I just purchased a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban and was trying to program my Universal Home Remote system to open a DoorKing security gate to our vacation home. After trying to get it to work several different weekends, I gave up and called the LearCar2u company referenced in the Suburban/Tahoe Owners Manual. They told me I needed a new button module which was backordered for 3 months. I finally got the button module and now my dealer wants to charge me to put it into my new Suburban. I just spent about $55K for the vehicle and don't want spend more money.

Anyone know of a good reference for replacing this module so I don't ruin my interior?

If it were me, I'd take it to a specialty shop. Places that specialize in remotes, anti-theft systems, stereos ect.

 

wouldn't that be covered oooooh wait not internally lubed and all.

was it brand new? if so I'd take it back to the dealer and tell them to shove it.

 

Why isn't it covered by the 3/36 warranty?

 

it looks like one panel and plug, do it yourself?
