I believe that you can just remove a wheel, lay a straightedge across the rear bead/lip of the rim, and measure from the straightedge to the hub mating surface.

That's called back spacing. Offset is the distance between the mounting plane of the wheel and the centerline of the wheel and is expressed as positive or negative. If the centerline is to the outside of the mounting plane, I believe it is negative offset. Hope this helps.

Looking at a set of Centerline G2 wheels for my 2007 Tahoe will a 4.5" backspacing on a 10" x 17" wheel work?
plan on stuffing 33" tires under the SUV with a skyjacker 2" lift................. or 35" tires but waiting on more 3" lifts to come out besides Rancho. Any issues with Stabilitrac when lifting or lowering?

I was thinking the stock offset was +31 or +32. I know someone stated +31 so that is probably it.

You wan to find an offset around +30 for the best fitment.

You are correct, mos wheels will not have that offset, mos will be around +15 to +20.

Sorry for bringing up an old topic, but I was wondering if anyone was able to put 24"s on they're 2007 avalanche/tahoe/suburban? I'm really looking into getting 24"s... but afraid that they will rub on turns, I know that I need +32mm offset... Any advice/suggestion, greatly appreciated..

-thx,
;)
