Default Appraisal? -- How much is my '03 Suburban worth?

I have a 2003 Chevy Suburban that I've been using as a daily driver for the past 5 years and I'm looking to downsize to something that more suits my needs. I'm wondering how much I should ask for my 03 Suburban.

It is black with 161k miles and Z71 package (leather seats, heated front seats, dual power seats, bose speakers)

It has some issues I just found out about:
  1. Needs new catalytic converter to pass inspection next year (check engine light is on)
  2. Needs full brakes/rotors
  3. Valve cover haskets
  4. Spark plugs (it doesn't always start up right away)
Overall it was going to cost me about $2500 for everything, which I don't have.

Other issues:
  • Back left window won't roll down (I can hear clicking but it sounds like something isn't catching.)
  • Driver seat leather split on the seat and arm rest
  • Back gate hydraulics don't work (easy fix)
  • Will probably need new tires soon (I bought these in 2015 and tread is decent, but low)

I have a relative offering me $2500.. I asked what about $3000 and he said, 'you already mentioned $2500' (I was mentioning that ideally I would like to get $2500-3000 from CarMax).
Carmax offered me $2000.

I'm tempted to list it on CraigsList at $4500 (or best offer) just to see what kind of offers are out there.

You can try, but with all those things wrong with it, $4500 sounds high to me. Take a look at KBB.com to get a good idea of it's value. It would also benefit you to repair as many of the problems as possible, especially the hard starting and brakes.

You'll be real lucky to sell it for $3000, but yeah start at $4500. You might get lucky and someone who doesn't know jack about vehicles will buy it, but no one
sells at asking price on CL. As for your spark plugs, it might be something else making it hard to start. I believe that you are simply hoping that's the case here.
