Default autoride

i have a 2001 suburban 1500 4x4 with autoride. problem is service ride control message is on all the time. the system seems to working fine. it will level out when started , it will level out when i put weight in back. the pump seems to be working ok and it seems to turn on and off as the height at the back of suburban changes. i dont have the real high dollar scan to check that part of system. hope to from some with some pointers.
thanks hunterjo

Get a free scan at most autoparts stores and that may shed some lite if there are any DTCs set.

i have one more question it has to do with the positioning senors on each wheel. is there a way to check them without a scan tool. is there a ohm,s reading i can take or some other reading.

Can't answer that one. While it probably is a potentiometer, I don't have a clue as to what a nominal value should be.

Unless someone else here has some ideas, probably have to take it to the dealer.

Default ohm meter

I would think that if you inspected each sensor (4) the odd one out would be the bad one.

Default fixed problem

i solved the problem. first i took ohms readings on each sensor. i got between 400-600 ohm readings on all but one.( the different readings was because i was reading between the three different wires) the forth one had a open reading. i could not find a used one anywhere so i ordered a new one. installed it and problem gone. hope this info will help someone else.

Sounds like a great system.

Is it available for the GMT900 models also?

Also does it void any warranties?
