Default B0083 Front impact sensor 1

My air bag light came on. Scan said B0083 front impact sensor 1 which from what read is driver side one. I checked fuses first and there were good so I replaced sensor Olin the front end. Light is still on. What could be wrong or do I need to take it to someone to reset the codes? Thanks in advance for the help.

if you replaced the sensor, the fault is probably an open/corroded wire or corroded connector.
inspect the wiring from the impact sensor back to the wiring harness.

Is the wiring easy to replace or do I have to take a bunch of other stuff apart to get to the end? If I find a corroded wire, can I get a new set at a place like autozone? Sorry don't have much experience with cars but trying to save a little money by not taking easy stuff to the dealership to fix. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forum.

Need to clear the code to determine if the sensor was the real problem.
