Default Beating a Dead Horse (center console)

Okay… So far so good… you guys have been a big help. I have referenced the forum and I am wondering where I can get a part price / part numberon the bare shell for theCENTER CONSOLE. I have access to a grey one 100% complete… I need Black ;-)

My question is where can I go ( my local parts dept has NOT impressed me) to get the price of the bare plastic shell..? I am thinking I will use the black shell with all the parts from the grey one.

What to you suggest…? I am not kidding, these parts guys are have an accessory catalog and beyond that its like ‘father GM’ didn’t intend on my hacking away at the Hoe…

Thnks- Kevin

True, just getting tired of explaining it to these guys… Maybe I’ll see if they will share the PC screen with me so I can effectively communicate thisto them... As in look at the exploded view of the console & point out the main shell…

Ebay! Just watch there and every once in a while they will have them. I would also email the sellers that have gray ones and see if they have black! There will be one there sooner or later.

Thank you. I have contacted those sellers & thats why i feeing like I am beating a deag horse... Black is not on the menu...

Patience is the hardest thing to exercise in times like this… With as many Hoes that are sold, a given percent have to be salvaged, stripped, stolen recovery ect…., I would have thought that a black console these would be readily available to the highest bidder.

So back to my original problem… Any parts guys out there that can tell me the part number on the "main shell" for the console..? I want to take all the part from a grey unit that I have access to & use them to complete the black console.

This e-bay seller specializes in GMs and dismantles tons of them. I know you are looking for a part number, but I'm sure this company can help you. This is a link to the store but you can search inventory and contact them about a specific vehicle's parts from links on this page...

http://stores.ebay.com/Nordstroms-Automotive-Inc

This s their e-bay stuff. Go to the actual website for a lot more stuff and easier searching and direct contact...

Nordstoms is around $450 for the complete console his say + S&H. Wont my wife be proud if the console comes from "Nordstoms" he-he... I wont add the part about it being a slavage yard...!!

Not sure if this would be a viable option for you, but back when I had another vehicle there was a special paint for painting vinyl plastic stuff and it did not peel. I can't remeber the name or the brand, but maybe somebody else here might know. Good Luck
