Default Best Navigation Radio

Hello All,
I am on my 3rd Tahoe (01,03,07) and am wondering what everyone has / thinks about navigation. I think 1800 is bit much to pay for the factory navigation, even though I like the factory look. What is everyone using? The pioneer looks good, but I had a GMOS adapter in my 03, and it made the chimes awful sounding. Do the newer adapters fix this problem? Anyone have a nav unit they want to sell?

Thanks,
Stephen

If I were doing it again, I'd simply opt for the standard radio and get over the looks of my Garmin 2610 on the dash. Nothing comes close to Garmins stand alone GPSs for function. Being able to connect with the computer, make routes, change the display, bluetooth to the phone, etc...wayyyy better than any other system.

I have the factory system though...and it navs OK, sounds for sheit!... Your heading in the right path.

Try eBay for 2007 Tahoe Nav units.
