Default Best year to buy 08 or newer Tahoe 4x4?

Looking at moving up to my third Tahoe (had a 97 and now a 02) in the next few months. Want an LTZ or LT 4x4... Unless I hear some negative feedback I want the 6speed tranny. I need a bench 2nd row seat (which seems to rule out most LTZ's) use it primarily as my main ride, occasionally pull a 4,000lb trailer, occasionally go off road (mild) and explore a road or I would go 4x2. Seems when I look at 2010's I am only $10k from a new one. Will go new if that's the case, but being in the used heavy equipment business, I may cut myself shaving in the mornings. So what do you guys think? I would probably be happy with a 08 or even a 07, but I really liked the smoothness of the 6speed from driving a few friends Denali's. I like to buy my cars with 40-50k on them and run them for a 100k or so.

sounds like you want an 09 with the 6 speed then - that is the 1st year with the 6 speed. considering how many of these things are out there you shouldn't have a problem finding exactly what you want
good luck
FYI there is nothing wrong with the 4 speed in the 07 and 08 honestly. yes the 6 speed is an improvement no doubt but we get pretty much the exact same mileage as guys with the 6 speeds and it is smooth as can be.

Default 4

get the 09. the 4 speed isn't as smooth, and has a higher failure rate

MSN vehicle Reliability. look it up.

or, better yet, ask me about the problems I've had with mine, and spend your money with any other company in the entire world. I would LOVE to explain the issues with my 09 tahoe
