Does anyone know where I can get black bowties for the front and back?

 

A friend of mine bought a aluminum one and had it black pwder coated. Looks good. Thats the only black one I have ever seen.

 

I am planning to unbolt mine, prime paint and clear it. That stock one is plastic and you should have no problems if you paint it correctly.

 

I have not seen any black bowties on the market yet, but I have them on my 07 tahoe. I bought the 07 stainless replacement bowtie for the front and had the dealer body shop paint it black and clear coat. The paint guy said that he could paint the back factory bowtie(plastic) without any problems, but the front one needed to be a metal surface because of the abuse it will take while on the road(bugs, rocks, etc.).

 

You DON"T have to buy a front metal bowtie. MANY chevy guys have painted the factory one with no issues. If you prep the part then use an adhesive promoter primer, prime, paint and clear you will be fine.
