Hello-

I am trying to completly black out my 2008 Tahoe.

I have found a Black Billet grill (horizontal), but it doesnt look like it replaces the chrome "grill surround". Do I have any otions to replace this with a black surround or can I have it painted.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. With proper prep, the chrome surround can be painted.

i blacked out my thaoe also. with the chrome parts it just takes alot of preping up and it will come out verry nice.

Hey Bulldog,
I'm looking to blackout my grills to including the surrounding. When you remove the grill as a whole, you are able to seperate the chrome surrounding from the black grill, it is teadious though. I'm going to spray the black grill as well just to make sure the surrounding and the grill match in color.
Let me know how your goes, I will do the same, just havent had time to do it=)
