Default Brake Advice. Newbie Here Guys

2007 Tahoe LTZ. Brakes are needing to be serviced soon. Was wondering what pads you guys have used and what feedback you all can give me. I was thinking of staying with original but if there is something better you have tried and recommend I am all ears. Thanks in advanced. Oh and I think it is time for rotors too. I recently bought my truck and since have done the following:

Oil Change MObile 1 synthetic
Transmission service dextron VI(not sure but you all know what i mean)
Rear differential service
New air filter.
HID LIGHT KITS for low high and fog 8K
DVD Bypass to watch movies why truck is in motion and nav functions
Blutooth & IPOD integration

In the near future I am looking to relace my headlight cuz they are kinda scratched up and one has a minor crack. any suggestions???
I also want to install the volant cold air intake system.

The last thing I am looking to do is the wheels. I really want the stock 20" 5 spoke polished wheel. I currently have a chrome 20" like a 6 spoke and I hate them.

thanks for reading guys.. any advice and input will be greatly appreciated.

I always get the best pads the store has. If you have never had you rotors turned, you will save yourself the cost of the pads compared to buying new rotors. All rotors have minimum standards and the shop will check and measure prior to agreeing to turn them. I go to pep boys, and buy my pads first. On the receipt there is a discount offer for having your rotors turned. Just my 2c.

I put ceramic pads on my trucks the first time they need changed. They cost slightly more than most OEM pads but they last a lot longer. If you change your own, this saves you time. If you have it done at a shop, it saves you money, since much of the cost of a brake job is in labor.

I have these in my garage ready to go on my truck, but at 55,000 miles, the original pads still pass inspection! how long do these things last?

anyway, we also put the same brand on my wife's car. eliminated brake dust, and stops just fine
