Brake Bleed Question
I have a 2004 Tahoe, and it justturned 30,000 miles. I want to bleed the brakes for routine maintenance. Is there any special procedure for bleeding the brakes. I know some vehicles with ABS have to be done at the dealer because the ABS system needs to beconnected to a dealer computer.
Also, any opinions about adding a high capacity aluminum transmission pan? I know PML and come other manufactures make highcapacity pans with drain plugs.
Thanks

You can follow the normal procedure for brake bleeding on your 2004 Tahoe however if it is equipped with the JL4 Stabilitrak option I would recommend having the dealer do the work.
Use fresh Dot-3 fluid, start at the right rear (RR) brake, then LR and RF then LF.
Have your helper slowly press and release the pedal and wait 15 seconds between each pump/release.
Keep the master cylinder at least 50% full of fluid and keep the bleed hose-end submerged in a bottle of fluid the entire time.
And most importantly; have fun.

Autoride and Stabilitrak are not related, if you have the JL4 option then you will have a button on the dash to disable the feature, very few Tahoe's were built with this option in 2004.
If you give me your VIN, I can check for sure.
