i just put mine on today as a matter of fact. I opted to use the GM one and I am 50/50 on whether to have it powder coated black over the chrome. I will try to figure out how to post a pic in in here and show it....or I can email directly if you prefer. Here is the GM info on the brush guard I installed though... http://www.chevrolet.com/pop/tahoe/2..._bgg_01_en.jsp

Here is a pic of my Tahoe as promised....cost me $137 to have a dealer install. Apparently a serious 2 inch hole has to be drilled so be sure it's what you want because you are stuck with it once installed! I am still debating whether to have the chrome portions powder-coated black. I am told its no problem to do -- just debating which will look better. Opinions anyone?

Lets be a little more diplomatic. This guy just forked over big bucks to put this on his ride and you all just told him how ugly it is.

I too prefer not to have a grille guard but...If you are going to use this one, I'd say keepthe chrome to break it up- because it is so large.

Option #2: powder coat the chrome, send me your chrome grill and I'll send you my black one. What do you say???

I agree, like I mentioned i would never put it on a truck. However, it is your vehicle and you can do to it as you wish! I am sure i have put items on my tahoe that no one else would ever want on theirs!

If you like the guard and want to keep it on, I would keep it the way it is! It isnt extremely busy as some of them are. I dont think it looks bad how it is now!

However, can someone please tell me what exactly the brush guard does? Do you offroad in your tahoe? Is it just for looks?
