Default Bull Bars Interfere With Parking Assist Sensors

I installed after market bull bars on the front of my 2015 Suburban. This causes the two middle front ultrasonic parking assist sensors to erroneously send a warning to the driver. The whole parking assist system can be turned off by a button on the control panel, or on the infotainment system screen, but it defaults back to on each time the vehicle is restarted. So every time we start the engine, we have to turn off the parking assist system. Can the default on be reprogrammed to off, is this something the dealer can do? Another approach would be to disable the the two middle front parking assist sensors. Would simply unplugging them from the front module send an error code to the computer? Can they be disconnected and fool the computer by tieing a line low or high so that they show there is no object close to the front of the vehicle?

unplugging the sensors will set fault messages in the Driver information center and disable the system.

it would be nice if you could plug in a dummy sensor that would allow the rest of the system to operate.

a dealer will have to answer the remaining questions. would be nice if they could disable only the front and not the rear.

Ask if they make a gm bull bar. GM does QC testing of the add on parts they make so this may have been addressed.

Thanks for your reply. So far, I haven't found any GM approved bull bars.
