Burst Brake line
The brake lines on my 2003 Tahoe burst and i ran through a stop sign and almost off the road and into a pole. I tried to find a mechanic to fix them and no one will touch it because of the rotted lines. The car is in almost perfect shape otherwise, but it has been sitting for months. I need this car.
I did some checking and the metal used was substandard. This is a serious safety hazard.
The new lines i purchased from ACDelco are plastic coated. But i still can't find a mechanic nor do i believe I should have to pay to replace something that was a cost cutting measure on a 40000+ vehicle.
My 97 suburban, my 85 corvette, nor my 58 Pontiac super chief has had that problem. I have never even heard of metal lines bursting. This is unconscionable. GM should pay to replace the substandard lines.
