I have 1995 K2500. Looking for used tires and found 265 75 17 8 lug aluminum wheels and tires. Will Aluminum wheels get me home? They look good, do lug bolts wear in lug holes, will they handle max load? Any experiences?

 

From what I see, the 265's are a larger tire than OEM, so, your speedometer is going to read slow. Alum Wheels or any for that matter, can be damaged if the Torque on the Bolts hasn't been enough and let the slip back and forth. Load factors depend on the wheel, Aluminum can handle as much or more than steel, given the way it's Manufactured.
