Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Buyers guide

I am relatively new to the Chevy Suburban. My dad had a 87 2wd when I was in high school, but that is the only one I have ever been in or really around. I am planning on buying a suburban when I return to Utah from Afghanistan. I am looking at 4x4 models between the years of 87 and 97. What are the differences? Pros and cons? Fuel mileage really isn't the issue as the truck will be used for a dog hauler, camping trips, and vacations. Any info would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

Someone here can probably offer some opinions. Personally not familiar w/ that vintage but would opt for the newest, lowest mileage one I could find.

Thank you for your service. Stay safe.
