Two things.
1. Ground the 1701g to a chassis ground, not metal bracing for the dash. Find a spot of Painted sheetmetal and scrape away to bare metal and ground at this point. I think this is the problem
2. Reset the 1701g via the instructions if the ground doesn't work.

Also are you getting the ignition feed for the viper from the 1701g?
take note to also turn off the feature on the 1701 for unlocking with key removal. On some platforms and different alarms we've seen this feature unlock the doors when the RS feature timesout...food for thought

By igintion feed do you mean the 12v constant Red wires on both the 1701g and Viper if so they are both tied into the red/white on the back of the drivers side Fuse center. Or if you mean the Igniton wire for the remote start the pink wire This is hooked up to the Pink wire off the Key.

Also the 1701 doesnt say anything about reseting except for the settings which would just be the ZAP feature. I will try that and turn off unlocking with key removal.

And the Ground iwill relocate when i get home Is it getting some type of EMI / Interferance or something?

I would use the red/black but thats me. I would and always ground my modules seperately.
Also when you cut the passlock 3wire, one side should of went to the 1701g orange/white and the other should go to anACCESSORY (orange)off the remote start. Did you do this?

Ok i moved the ground 2 differnet spots same results turned off all the auto lock featuers on the 1701 NO change. But one time it unlocked right before it remote started then locked, and was good (isnt that what it should do)? I think im going to try another 1701g....... What do you think is that how its supposed to act by unlocking then relocking once started?
