A/C air filter removal

my a/c is starting to smell a little bit..i have an 02 tahoe and was wondering how to remove the A/C air filter to be replaced..thanks

Are you talking about the cabin air filters? when the ac is on they do stink to high heaven
They are located under the dash under the glove compartment there is a panel holding with a screw securing the cover , after the screw is removed pull the access cover at the bottom-right of the housing surrounding the evap core .. if they are the origional like mine was take caution when pulling them down for they will tear from being "old" not all the time but mine did ..after the first one if pulled down the second will follow take note when removing the filters to note what direction the fillter runs . Istallation is in reverse order
I have them on my 04 .... you got the same specs as I do hope this helps
