tried 3 times to get the o-ring between the dryer and evap to seal and it is steel leaking under pressure
any ideas on what size o-ring this takes

Have you tried the dealer? What happened to the original o-ring? I'm going through the same thing as I bring my non-working A/C on line. I just flushed the lines and I am getting ready to mount the compressor. The o-ring kits at AutoZone have slightly smaller and thicker rings. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
