Default C pillar panel removal on 2007 Chevy Tahoe?

Anyone know how to remove the panels on the C pillar of the 2007 Chevy Tahoe? These are the panels near the 2nd row seats that has the second row seat belts. I can't tell if there are two separate panels or a single large panel and I don't want to start pulling on a panel hoping it 'pops' loose for fear of messing something up or breaking something. Thanks!

[ol]The c-pillar trim piece does not include the part that extends back behinmd the center row seat.

1. Disable the roof rail SIR system.
2. Remove the rear side door sill plate.
3. Fold the rear seat up and forward.
4. Reposition the rear side door weatherstrip off the molding.
5. Remove the Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Plug and screw.
6. If equipped with rear folding seat, disconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Remove seat belt D-ring from the adjuster assembly.
8. Route seat belt through garnish molding.
9. Unsnap molding, there are 10 clips that hold it in place. [/ol]

Thanks...only question is what is the roof rail SIR system and how do you disable it?? Basically all I am trying to do is get access to the D-ring and recoil spring assembly to 'stiffen' them up a little to keep them from moving when driving over lane divider bumps, etc. Thanks again!!!

They are the roof mounted side airbags, you may not have them, look for the loge "Airbag" or "SIR" at the top of your A-pillar, if you don;t see that logo then you don't have the option.

To dissable the SIR system:
1. Turn the steering wheel so it is pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn ignition switch "Off".
3. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
4. Wait one minute before starting your work.

Yeah...I do have the airbags on the LTZ and don't want to mess with them....I will see if I can reach up through the seatbelt opening to secure the d clamp..that is what appears to be moving back on forth on the mounting bolt...
