Can I change my throttle body fuel injection system to a carburated system easily
My 99 tahoe is a 5.7L throttle body fuel injected interceptor engine, its giving me nothing but trouble, witch it shouldn't seeing as it's been built with all summit racing parts, and has been professionally balanced and tuned b4 I bought it... I keeps throwing up codes P0171 and P0174... been thru vacuum system and tested for leaks with carb cleaner and no leaks detected... will b recleaning maf and throttle body today....
technically, there is a way around that. An aftermarket computer designed for carburetor engines. But that probably doesn't fit the OP's "easy" criteria.
Lean condition could mean that you could simply have a fuel delivery problem.

it won't be easy as the trans is electronic.
+1 for fuel system...start by measure fuel pump pressure. if low...is the fuel filter clogged...you should be able to blow thru it easily. if the filter is good...the fuel pump may be nfg
