Can I Put These Wheels/Tires On My 95 ?
I know the factory recommended size for a 1995 Suburban is 245/75r16
I currently have good 265/75r16 tires on it... and I want to take them off before getting rid of the vehicle.
Can I put on some 245/65r17 tires on 6-lug 17in Chevy wheels (from a Trail Blazer) on this 95 Suburban - just so the vehicle can be moved/towed...?
I got a real good deal on them (not much tread left). They sit about the same height, give or take an inch. And aren't that much wider, near as I can tell. It isn't like I am going to be driving it with these on there. In all likelihood it is going to the wrecking yard.

Tire width is identical. The 17in combo is 3% lower in overall height than the factory 16in setup. Speed would be a tad lower than what the speedometer reads.
I think it's going to be okay.
Now, given what I have on the vehicle right now ( 265/75r16 ) there is more of a difference. Width will be about 7.5% less. Height about 7% lower. Closer to stock.
