I found a "Trail Master" on a property I am buying. I don't have permission to mess with it yet, but I drove by and took a look. The body says "Trail Master" on the rear where it would normally say "Suburban", and there is a sticker on the
right rear corner panel behind the tire that says "Phantom".

I thought I could just look these terms up but I haven't been able to find a single "Phantom" option package on any vehicle. I might be doing it wrong, but Hagerty and Nada don't show Trail Master either. Kelly Blue Book doesn't go back past 1992, and this looks like a 1970's model.

Can someone please explain what a "Trail Master" is? It looks like a standard Chevy Suburban.

 

Trail master is more then likely a post factory package (similar to wha they do to with van conversions), im not sure this is also a 70s body, more like a mid 80s-89, (the front clip/grill is going to tell the story).
