Question Can't replace the factory Radio/CD player in '03 Suburban???

The Radio/6-disc CD player in our Suburban works just fine, but unfortunately the paint has come off most of the buttons and it looks really ugly. Hubby and I went to Best Buy to look at those nice players with navagation and all that. We were told we can even buy something extra so the buttons on the steering wheel will work with the new unit, HOWEVER, there is no way to connect the new unit to the DVD player and we would loose the TV/DVD function.

What other options are there? Replace with another factory radio from the dealer? Won't that cost an arm and a leg?

Is there something we can do to the buttons? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thank you for all your help!

I have seen replacement buttons for sale on Ebay. They had them for many different radios. Give it a try they may have the ones you need.

As far as a replacement head unit and enabling all of your current functions, try giving Crutchfield a call.

You need to find a stereo shop not a chain store. Try calling Crutchfeild they will be able to tell you if it can be done and what you would need.
