Default Cargo Net with Power LIftgate?

I just bought a 2009 Tahoe with a power liftgate. I am wanting to add a cargo net. One site said you can't add the net with the power lift gate another site said you could. Does anyone know? The right side of the Tahoe has an indention so you know where to drill to add the retainer. The left side has a white dot that looks like it could be where the other retainer would go. Has anyone done this?

Thanks,

Welcome to the forum.

Haven't tried it and not sure what the power gate has to do w/ it.

Assume there is concern that you would hit the power liftgate mechanism.

Or that th mechanism would hit it while traversing up and down.

remove the panels, stick modeling clay back there to about the thickness of the nut and then cycle the lift. remove panel and if the clay is ok, then do it for real.

The only reason I think it might make a difference is if the power liftgate takes up more room on then left side making it so the netting would sag and not fit very well.

Does the non-power gate trim panel not stick out as far? I assumed they were both the same.

I have tried 2 nets. One from my 05 Tahoe and I bought one on ebay from an 07 GMC Youkun Denali. Neither one fit. I thought the 1 from the 07 would fit because the the body style is the same.
