Default ceramic brake pads

I seem to be giving my new to me 2002 suburban more attention than my wife, she says I am always doing something with it these past weeks. Today I picked up a set of front ceramic AC Delco Durastop pads. Where I have not bought her a pair of shoes in a long while

Now I am wondering if I made the right choice in ceramic vs semi - metallic since I will tow a trailer a few times each year.

anyone have the 17D785ch pads? do they wear well, heat a problem, etc....
thanks

I'd choose semi-metallic pads for towing. And if you have ceramic pads, it's better that your trailer has good brakes to so that your ceramic pads won't get too hot.

I thought ceramic pads had to be heated up to achieve efficiency.

I think I need to buy the wife some shoes soon, she caught me working on the burb again tonight. took apart the power mirror switch, as half of it stopped working, but cleaned up and all functions work now..up down left right .

as far as the ceramics go, I will give them a try on the fronts I only paid 20 bucks for them.

I've heard the ceramics are the best since they: produce less brake dust, resist break down due to heat, and have more stopping power when compared to standard brakes.

I'm still on the stock brake pads on my truck just hit 180k miles this week.
