Default Certain front lights not coming on - please help

On my 2001 Chevy Suburban 2500 LS, I'm not able to figure out how to turn on the lower inside light on either side of the front of the vehicle.

See example image. The lights that don't come on are the ones circled in red, the lower group inner-most lights on both sides.

I'm not sure what they are called, nor what turns them on. The lamps are good (tested in another socket that gets power). ALL the other lights on the front are working when turned on (high, low, fog, turn, daytime running center).

I just bought the vehicle and am not familiar with how they are supposed to come on. They have 2 filaments in each lamp.

Please help educate me or let me know what to try to get them on. There is no power going to the sockets in any configuration that I've tried (lights in auto/on/off, headlights on/off or high/low , fog lights on/off, vehicle in park/neutral). The DRL relay works (I swapped it with the horn relay and the horn still worked). I'm hoping it's something simple that I haven't tried yet.

In short, what configuration turns them on and is there is special name for that light?

Thanks!

Great, thanks! That was it. I didn't try that since I was by myself.

Good to know.

I think they turn on when the E-brake is off... not sure if the gear position matters...

Not sure the parking brake has anything to do DRLs anymore. That use to be an easy way to defeat them off by pushing it 1 click and defeating the switch.
