I have a little project going. I need to find a 3057 red tail light bulb. I prefer the glass to be clear. I do not want a red bulb just a red omitting clear glass bulb. Anyone know where I can find one? ZX?

I believe that 3157 is interchangeable so that can be an option too.


Update: I found some red APC Bulbs 3157 and also bought some LED's.

However, I think i am going to sell this set of tai lights and stick with black ones. However, i am not 100% sure.

If anyone is interested in the chrome GMC denali tail lights below make me some offers. I have quite a bit of money in them and also about $45 in 8 different red LED's. So if you want tail light housings and bulbs fire me some offers. The tail lights have GMC embossed on the back and some patent information.

 

Will a LED version that is clear then lights red do? You can get LED bulb replacements in 3057 or 3157.

You are a smart man! HAHA, that is what I ended up doing. I was just hoping to get something that was available locally or from the dealer. Whe shall see how the leds end up working! I will post pics when everything is done!

They go on the rear! They are a true GM part, they are clear with a chrome background, and I have never seen them before! I will probably get this done and there are 100 people on this site with them. HAHA.

I am not 100% sure this is all going to work so dont get to exicted. I just think that on my gold tahoe clear will look much better than the red. I will post a pic in a second of what they kinda look like. I think they will look good with the rest of the chrome that will be on the tahoe shortly. The red is just to much and there isnt any other red on the vehicle

You might ask Superbritesleds. They sell separate load resistors on their site.
