Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Chevy engine swap

I have a 2005 Chevy suburban 5.3L engine that I would like to replace with a larger engine. I have to replace/repair since it blew the 7th cylinder but would like to get more power at the same time. Can I put a 6.0L engine in? Will I have to change out tranny, radiator, etc also? Will that give me more power to tow a 26' TT?

Other option is to get a larger vehicle but I like my suburban!!!

Its possible as the 2005 Burb 2500 has a 6.0 liter. Probably need a new ECM and other things, but I think the 6.0 it uses a beefed-up T4L80E transmission in the 2500.
