Default chrome mirror covers installed

I just put on the mirror covers. I like monochrome look of everything painted body color. I'll probably leave the door handles alone but I didn't like the black bottom mirrors.
When I start painting, underhood and roof rack bases, I want to do the rest of the mirror mount body color.

Is the passenger side different from the drivers side, or is it just the mirror image making the passenger side look as if it doesnt cover it all the way to the bottom of the mirror?

That's the reflection of my Pontiac in the lower half of the pass side. There is a small ection of black still visible (the fixed part)

I took a chance and purchased a set off of E-bay. I've seen several sold on there and these were a little cheaper. $47 plus $15 shipping. I'm very particular about this kind of thing so I was going to sell them if I didn't like the quality. These look okay to me.

Like all of the after market stuff this was a simple--- clean (well) and then alcohol, adhesive promoter and 3m tape install.

Down side is that unlike the factory part, this does not cover the entire black plastic area. Some is still visable. It does wrap over the top and bottom of the outer mirror section.
