Default CODE 44 THAT WON'T GO AWAY

MY SUB. HAS 167K MILES I JUST CHANGE THE O2 SENSOR, AND BING GO MR 44 SHOWED UP. I DID THE REGULAR CHECKS AND GOT ZIP. I RESET THE CODE AND IT LASTS 15 MILES OR 15 MINUTES WHAT EVER COMES FIRST. ANY IDEAS WELCOME.

Without knowing the model & the description of your vehicle DTC'S its very hard to say what could be wrong.

Yankee,

Hopefully youve rectified your sensor error by now but if you havent, check before and after your CC. A lot of people think they only have 1 O2 sensor but many cars especially nowadays have 2. One before the Catalytic Convertor and another after it.

If your using after market sensors like bosch. Make sure you get the wiring right if it has multiple leads. You may need an adapter.
