That is a very typical fuel pump problem. New does not mean good. If anyone is over complicating this it would be the person who does not want our help. It could very well be the temp sensor but that is not that common.

Sorry if I'm coming across as not listening to advice but I was hoping if I could find the temp sensor I could bypass it or emulate it to see if that is the problem.

I'm struggling with it as I have no manual for the car and I’m in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<ST1England</ST1</st1:country-region> where there are no Dealers and none of the garages have heard of let alone seen a suburban.

<O</OAny parts I need have to be ordered and take a while to come and probably cost three times what they would cost you guys.<O</O

no problem, the sensor should be located in the side of the block, if I can find where my wife hid my 97 Tahoe/sub manuals 'll look it up and post the page info....

the engine coolant temp sensor is located at the thermostat housing connection to the intake
