hey i have a 2001 Tahoe LS and im goin to get rims for the vehicle. The color of the car is a Forest Green and im not sure what color of rims i should go for. and also what size do u think is reasonable thanks ne help would help

 

Chrome would look nice. Probably 22s would be a good starting point.

 

well i wanna try to avoid chrome cuz thats what everyone has where i live so u see enough of it as it is but if chrome is the way to go then ill go for it. 22's

 

22's i was thinking of goin for anyways cuz maybe 24's are little to bumpy of a ride

 

What's going on!!!

I recently did the rounds at Tire/Wheel stores trying to find something that looked good other than the all chrome look most people go with. I don't know how it'd look on a Forest Green ride but I went with 22" Black Ziniks with a chrome lip on an Onyx Black 01' Tahoe and I get alot of compliments on how the combo looks. For the tires I bought 305/40/22 Yokohama Spec-X Parada's and the ride is actually quite nice. I tried out the 305/45/22 but the taller profile looked like it would rub as little when the tire installer turned the steering wheel lock to lock.

Whatever color or style wheel you go with is a pretty much a personal choice so good luck with whatever you go with.

 

thats what i want to do is the black rim with a chrome lip. im thinking of getting a new paint job then to black cuz i just love the way it looks with black rims.

Actually it really is all about what you like and how you want to roll so it's all good. I just never was into the blingy look, nothing wrong with it just isn't me. There are some nasty looking black wheels out there and you do get what you pay for but mine definately don't look cheap, dull or crappy. I think with the black on black with just a chrome lip it looks great.

Soon as I can dig up a camera I'll get a pic and post it up if i can out how.

I dont really think they look horrible, I just wouldnt want them. I think if I am paying for aftermarket rims, I want chrome. To each and their own! Post some pics!
