This Is Cool
I live in Arizona and work for a large semiconductor company there and something I feel is pretty cool happened last week. Based on my employer's efforts to help AZ green up, they encourage employees to carpool, find ways to commute that would help lessen the impact on the environment. Arizona is big on a program called "RideShare" and my employer promotes it in a big way. Recently AZ adjusted it's guidelines on alternative fuel vehicles to include those that run on E85. Within the RideShare program my 07 Tahoe LT qualified for a permit as an alternative fuel vehicle and I can now park in the areas reserved for carpool vehicles even as a single rider. Still can't ride in the HOV lanes during regular commute yet but hey - things could change! LOL

No I did not have to show that I was running E85 in the tank. There is only one place in Phoenix (Next closest is Tucson with approx. 6 public stations.) with a E85 pump and that belongs to local government and is not available to the public. I only had to provide the permit issuers with year, make and model and indicate that ithasthe Flex-Fuel system / engine.
