Default Coolant leak from top of the transmission?

Hi guys, new here. I'm trying to diagnose the problem on my dad's 2000 Suburban. It seems like there's a coolant leak coming from the top of the transmission that I can't see. Are the transmission coolant lines on top of the transmission? Thanks for the help!

There is a pretty good chance it may be coming from the top rear of the engine.

Trans coolant lines carry trans fluid only. The trans fluid is usually cooled inside the radiator as the trans fluid is circulated through the cooler.
