Default Coolant level sensor connector on 05 Chevy Suburban LT 1500 FF

I recently replaced my Coolant reservoir tank and noticed that the built in coolant level sensor at the bottom of the tank has a fitting for an electrical connector. When i uninstalled the old tank there was nothing connected to it and i don't see any connectors that are disconnected anywhere. Does anybody know if this is the way my Suburban is designed? I see videos on youtube of similar models that have the connector. FYI, i don't and have never had any codes regarding low coolant on my Suburban.

Coolant tank probably fits several models / years so sensor in there makes it more universal.

My 2003 sub has a cable plugged into this sensor. It controls the "Low Coolant Level" message on the dash display.
