Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

I had the same thing happen. I have a '08 1500 suburban and we were towing close to 6,000 lbs up over Monarch pass in CO (11,300), the stabilitrak light came on but went away, had it not chimed i probably wouldn't have noticed since I didn't feel anything. Not sure what happened, maybe the engine misfired?

Transmission temp went to 264 deg, but no warning lights came on I think the computer indicates that you will need to pull over and cool the transmission down rather than put you in limp mode.

One question ridenred333, have you seen how clean is the radiador fluid? Have you checked also it's level and density?
