Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default Couple of questions: Interior

As the new owner, 3rd day. I am finding things on the Burb. It's a 06 LS 9 passenger Suburban.

The spot/hole in the lower right driverside dash. Is that the way the cubby hole is or is there a pocket insert?
Also, the rear passenger doors have a rectangular hole in them. Reflectors, lights or...?

So far I've evacuated/recharged the A/C. Need it here in the Vegas summer heat.

I'm making a list of needed parts. New or used depending on cost/local availability.
So far:
Front bumper- Dented
Rear bumper- Dented
Steering column lower trim surround- cracked
stock jack- missing
Above mentioned parts- missing

Welcome to the forum.
I'm pretty sure there should be a plastic insert in the dash hole and a red reflector in the door panel hole. Might try a pick-a- part yard.

Upon closer examination of the cubby hole, it looks like nothing goes in that spot. That's the way it's supposed to be from what I can tell.
I hope to pick up the door reflectors soon. Pic a part is tough when it's 105*+ degrees out. Gotta start/end early...

On our 2005 Yukon, some of these were missing/broken when we bought it in 2010. It turns out that there is a different part for ech of the four door reflectors. I doubt that you'll be able to find good ones used. And they are quite brittle, and can break on installation too.

My neighbor's GM had same issue, they break readily.

Junkyard trip netted two lights/reflectors for the rear passenger doors.
I also picked up a rear hatch door lock actuator assembly, a rear cargo carpet cover and a few misc. small items.
Slowly getting squared away.

I also found the steering column cover was fine. Just missing the screw to hold it in place. Anyone know the length and thread size for the column cover?
Of all the vehicles there,,,,no ignition column covers or screws that I could find.
Strange. I couldn't find a factory jack in any Tahoe/Burb. Do pic a part yards pull these?
